Discrete-time network-based control under scheduling and actuator constraints

چکیده
This paper is concerned with the solution bounds for discrete-time networked control systems via delay-dependent Lyapunov–Krasovskii methods. Solution bounds are widely used for systems with input saturation caused by actuator saturation or by the quantizers with saturation. The time-delay approach has been developed recently for the stabilization of continuous-time networked control systems under the roundrobin protocol and under a weighted try-once-discard protocol, respectively. Actuator saturation has not been taken into account. In the present paper, for the first time, the time-delay approach is extended to the stability analysis of the discrete-time networked control systems under both scheduling protocols and actuators saturation. The communication delays are allowed to be larger than the sampling intervals. A novel Lyapunov-based method is presented for finding the domain of attraction. Polytopic uncertainties in the system model can be easily included in our analysis. The efficiency of the time-delay approach is illustrated on the example of a cart–pendulum system. A discrete-event optimization framework for mixed-speed train timetabling problem
Railway scheduling is a complex task of rail operators that involves the generation of a conflict-free train timetable. This paper presents a discrete-event simulation-based optimization approach for solving the train timetabling problem to minimize total weighted unplanned stop time in a hybrid single and double track railway networks. The designed simulation model is used as a platform for ge...
متن کاملDynamic Cargo Trains Scheduling for Tackling Network Constraints and Costs Emanating from Tardiness and Earliness
This paper aims to develop a multi-objective model for scheduling cargo trains faced by the costs of tardiness and earliness, time limitations, queue priority and limited station lines. Based upon the Islamic Republic of Iran Railway Corporation (IRIRC) regulations, passenger trains enjoy priority over other trains for departure. Therefore, the timetable of cargo trains must be determined based...

In this paper, a due date assignment scheduling problem with precedence constraints and controllable processing times in uncertain environment is investigated, in which the basic processing time of each job is assumed to be the symmetric trapezoidal fuzzy number, and the linear resource consumption function is used. The objective is to minimize the crisp possibilistic mean (or expected) value of...
متن کاملApplication of Independent Joint Control Strategy for Discrete-Time Servo Control of Overhead Cranes
In this study, a new servo control system is presented for the overhead crane based on discrete-time state feedback approach. It provides both robust tracking and load swing suppression. Inspired from independent joint and computed torque control in robot manipulator field, a new model is derived in which the crane actuators are considered as the main plant. The crane nonlinearities are then tr...

WirelessHART is an open standard for wireless sensor-actuator networks in process monitoring and control. Recent years have seen initial success in real-world deployment of control systems over WirelessHART networks. Due to stringent bandwidth constraints in WirelessHART networks, it is important to develop a wireless transmission scheduling and control co-design approach to optimize the contro...
